The Director General of Plant Production at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, Engineer Wajih Al-Mutawakkil, conducts an inspection visit to one of the experimental fields of Janna Seeds Company for seed production in Al-Hodeidah Governorate.
During the visit, he reviewed the research experiments implemented to compare the productivity of hybrids and improved varieties produced by the company. He also inspected a local pepper field (Al-Mulhab and Adeni varieties) to observe the improvement mechanisms, techniques, and selection of distinctive varieties, which will contribute to the company’s future plans to enhance #Food_Security in #Yemen and preserve biodiversity by protecting local seeds from extinction.
He was welcomed by Mr. Badr Mohammed Al-Azani, the General Manager of the company, and Engineer Ali Abdul-Mughni Shamsan, the company’s Technical Director.
